City of Dallas Public Information Office receives TAMIO Award

The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) recently gave the City of Dallas an award for their recurring program Your City, a bi-weekly program showcasing City departments, events and updates in the City of Dallas.

“Part of the show’s goal is to create a more transparent city – citizens can remain in-the-know about things in Dallas that might not be covered by local news outlets,” said City Public Information Officer Emily Black. “Departments featured on the show are funded by the public and Your City helps show how those tax dollars are being used.”

The individual show that won the award featured a co-host from Dallas Fire-Rescue and included news on Dallas Animal Services plus updates from the Fire Department. You can view that episode here.
