Dallas Park and Recreation department is starting the first phase of its aquatics master plan with the Crawford Family Aquatic Center.
The groundbreaking will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 at Crawford Memorial Park Ceremonial.
“These family centers are long-awaited additions to the city’s aquatics program,” said Willis C. Winters, Dallas Park and Recreation director. “We are focused on offering residents and visitors unique water experiences in a modern facility that will exceed their recreational and leisure expectations.”
As part of the 2015 aquatic master plan, the Crawford park facility signals a new focus from the park department. These family aquatic centers will have a more resort atmosphere, complete with a multilevel children’s splash pool, an eight-lane lap pool, and slides containing a plunge pool.
