Parents and students are invited to the MLK Community Center’s annual Back to School Fair at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center, 2901 Pennsylvania Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Free school supplies, uniforms, haircuts, and hairstyles will be available to parents with school-aged children who meet eligibility requirements. Parents must provide a valid ID and children must be present to receive supplies. No registration is required.
The goal of the Back to School Fair is to serve Dallas-area students with the essential items needed for a successful academic school year. Local vendors will also be present to provide information on education, health, and social services.
