No appointment required at City’s COVID-19 vaccination site

The City of Dallas is no longer requiring appointments for vaccinations at The Potter’s House Vaccination Hub site. Residents can still register in advance, which will make the vaccination process quicker, but appointments are no longer necessary.

“We have been working hard to ensure that all of our residents have equitable access to these safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines,” said Mayor Eric Johnson. “With plentiful supply available and appointments no longer required, it is imperative that the people of Dallas get vaccinated as soon as possible so we can save lives and achieve community immunity. The pandemic is not over yet, but if we vaccinate enough people, we can get back to normalcy and move on from this awful virus that will continue to mutate as long as it continues to spread.”

The Potter’s House drive-thru vaccination hub in southern Dallas is located in the church’s overflow parking lot, across the street from its location at 6777 West Kiest Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75236. The hub is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The City’s contracted vendor American Medical Response (AMR), which operates the hub, will distribute the Moderna vaccine the week of April 26, which has been approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for people 18 years and older.

“We continue to evaluate and reassess our vaccination strategies as we move through this process,” said Rocky Vaz, Director of the City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management. “Now that our vaccine supply has increased, we are making vaccines available to those who need one, regardless of a set appointment time.”

The City of Dallas continues work to eliminate barriers to receiving the vaccine. Dallas Fire-Rescue and VNA of Texas to provide in-home vaccinations to for our homebound residents. Anyone in need of an in-home vaccination can email [email protected] to schedule an appointment.
