Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) is committed to offering a seamless, secure and user-friendly online payment experience. As part of these efforts, DWU will implement a new billing system to integrate with the DallasGo online payment platform on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The DallasGo upgrade will introduce new features that will simplify and enhance customer experience including real-time account balance; self-service dashboards for customer requests and assistance; additional ways for customers to view their water usage online; and online enrollment for payment plans.
Before the DallasGo upgrade
To prepare for the transition to the new billing system that will integrate with DallasGo, the online payment platform will be offline beginning May 1. During the transition period and scheduled service interruption, customers will not receive their water account invoices in the mail. There will be no late payment fees or water service disconnections during this time.
During the scheduled service interruption, customers may continue to make payments through the following methods:
- To make one-time payments by phone, call DWU Customer Service at 214-651-1441
- Paying by mail with a check or money order by sending your payment to City of Dallas, City Hall, 2D South, Dallas, TX 75277
- At an authorized payment station, visit bit.ly/DWUPayStations for locations
- In person at Dallas City Hall (2DS), 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas, TX 75201 (cash, check or money order only)
These payment options will remain available before and after the system goes live.
After the DallasGo upgrade
On May 18, following the implementation, DWU will resume issuing water bills, accepting payments through the DallasGo platform, by mail and through the automated phone system.
As part of the upgrade, DWU customers will receive a letter with an activation code and step-by-step instructions on how to re-register their profile and re-enroll in AutoPay on the upgraded DallasGo online platform at DallasGo.dallas.gov.
To begin using the new features on DallasGo:
- Current DallasGo users will receive an email from [email protected] with their activation code.
- A letter will be mailed to DWU customers that includes the activation code.
- DWU customers will also find their activation code on their water bill invoice mailed after May 18, 2026.
- AutoPay customers, previously enrolled in AutoPay, must re-enroll to continue making automatic payments.
- There will be no late payment fees or water service disconnections during the initial setup phase.
Several free payment options will continue to be available to customers after the system goes live includingsetting up AutoPay by using eCheck (with a bank routing and account number) on the DallasGo payment platform at DallasGo.dallas.gov; paying by mail with a check or money order by sending your payment to City of Dallas, City Hall, 2D South, Dallas, TX 75277; paying in person at Dallas City Hall (2DS), 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas, TX 75201.
