Dallas Public Library to offer free Healthcare Marketplace help
The Dallas Public Library is partnering with health technology company Cognosante to provide free Healthcare Marketplace enrollment assistance from Certified Enrollment Assisters at seven branch library locations.
Those needing assistance must bring their Social Security Card or immigration documents; government issued photo ID; and proof of earnings such as a check stub or tax return. Services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and by appointment in the following libraries during library hours through Jan.31 2016:
Bachman Lake Branch Library – 9480 Webb Chapel Road., second and fourth Tuesdays starting Nov. 10
Hampton-Illinois Branch Library – 2951 S Hampton Road. First, third and fifth Mondays and Wednesdays starting Nov. 2
Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1st Floor – 1515 Young St. First, third and fifth Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Nov. 3
Kleberg Rylie Branch Library – 1301 Edd Road. First, third and fifth Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting Nov. 4
Paul Laurence Dunbar Lancaster-Kiest Branch Library – 2008 E Kiest Blvd. Second and fourth Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting Nov. 12
Prairie Creek Branch Library – 9609 Lake June Road. First, third and fifth Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting Nov. 5
White Rock Hills Branch Library– 9150 Ferguson Road. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting Nov. 10 until the end of enrollment Jan. 31, 2016.
Free services provided by Cognosante include pre-screening for Healthcare Marketplace eligibility; assistance with enrollment on Healthcare.gov and with insurance plan selection, based on client needs.
