City of Dallas Seeks Public Input on Proposed Commercial Promoter Ordinance

DALLAS – The City of Dallas is seeking input from residents, businesses and promoters on the proposed Commercial Promoter Program Ordinance.

There will be five public input meetings, which will be a mix of virtual only and hybrid, to provide an opportunity to speak about this ordinance.

The Commercial Promoter Program Ordinance aims to establish standards of the operations of promoted events in a way that protects the public attending promoted events that don’t receive permits or oversight through City processes.

The meetings will run through June 1 to June 10. There will be no requirement to register to speak ahead and there will be Spanish translation offered.
