City of Dallas Recognizes Fair Housing Month with Educational Events
April is Fair Housing Month, a time to commemorate the landmark 1968 Fair Housing Act, which prohibits housing discrimination. The City of Dallas Office of Equity and Inclusion – Fair Housing Division will host a series of informational events to educate residents about their rights, available services, and how to report housing discrimination.
Throughout April, the Fair Housing Division will continue its outreach with Fair Housing Roadshow events every week in different Dallas districts. Fair housing staff will be onsite to provide information and will be available to receive qualifying fair housing complaints. Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins and Councilmembers Jamie Resendez and Jesse Moreno will attend these workshops to connect with residents, listen to concerns, and provide valuable resources.
