City of Dallas Launches KNOWEbola Campaign

The City of Dallas is working closely with local partners in the community and state to create and implement an effective public awareness campaign on Ebola. The KnowEbola campaign launched earlier this week with the creation of a new website, KnowEbolaDallas.com.

“After visiting in person with many Dallas residents in areas of the City impacted by Ebola, it was clear that a coordinated communications effort was needed to address fears, establish trust and keep the community informed,” said Sana Syed, City of Dallas Public Information Director.

The new website will provide current information on Ebola from the City and the Texas Department of Health Services, Dallas County Health, Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, Dallas Independent School District, and other partners. In addition to a strong social media presence, we will also reach out to churches, homeowners and crime watch groups to help educate and inform residents.
