The 2025 Deck the Plaza celebration lit up the Dallas City Hall plaza with festive cheer, drawing families, friends, and community members from across the city for an evening of music, culture, and holiday fun.
The free event, held on December 5, transformed the outdoor plaza into a winter wonderland. Attendees enjoyed a wide variety of activities including a real snow slide, a toddler zone, interactive characters, food trucks, and giveaways all set to a backdrop of live music and performances from local schools. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus also made a special appearance.
Members of the Dallas City Council along with City leadership helped lead the festivities and welcome guests to this annual tradition.
Two standout moments drew the crowd together: the tree lighting, which illuminated the plaza, and the fireworks show, launched from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Arena and closing the night with a dazzling display.
From arts and culture to holiday spirit, this year’s Deck the Plaza once again showcased the vibrancy and warmth of the Dallas community.
