City of Dallas offers free recreational, educational opportunities for teens during July

After a year of challenges and staying inside, the City of Dallas is offering teenagers free access to some of the city’s best attractions throughout the month of July.

Announced by City leaders and Mayor Eric Johnson earlier this week, the Youth All Access Pass program allows teens aged 12 to 17 and up to three friends or family members access to the following attractions:

Dallas Zoo
Dallas Arboretum
Dallas Museum of Art
Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum
Shakespeare Dallas
Trinity River Audubon Center
Bahama Beach Waterpark
Southern Skates Roller Rink.

These venues, in addition to the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and the Dallas Public Library are also serving as sponsors.

“I wish we had a program like this when I was growing up in Dallas,” said Mayor Johnson, who was raised in West Dallas and Oak Cliff. “These passes represent an incredible opportunity for our kids to learn and grow this summer after a stagnant year of staying home. I’m confident that through this program and others, this summer is going to be the best one yet for our young people. I’m so excited to see everyone healthy and out and about this summer.”

The passes are available to pick up at any of the city’s 43 recreation centers. Youth ages 12 to 17 must be present when registering for the pass and proof of City of Dallas residency is required. Adults are not permitted to pick up a pass on behalf of their teen. Please have a Parent/Guardian driver’s license or teen driver’s license/ID with you to sign up and receive a pass.
