Public Works releases Q3 2020 Activity Report

Public Works releases Q3 2020 Activity Report

Every year, the Department of Public Works handles thousands of construction, maintenance and 3-1-1 service requests to repair and maintain Dallas streets and alleys. However, it can be a challenge to know where City work crews or contractors will show up next. To help residents plan around projects, Public Works will publish quarterly activity reports for the 2020 fiscal year which will list every project expected to start construction and those that are still under construction throughout the fiscal year.

The third activity report of 2020 covers all projects starting or still under construction between April 1 and June 30, 2020.

All reports can be viewed here:

Projects listed in the report will include all street and sidewalk maintenance, alley improvement and capital improvement projects including those that are part of the 2017 Dallas Bond Program and those associated with the Five-Year Infrastructure Management Program (IMP) FY 2020-2024.

Each project is separated by each council district where the street or alley section is located. Projects that cross multiple districts may be listed multiple times in the report.

As of March 31, 2020, data shown in the report reflects any available current information from the Department of Public Works. All scheduled start dates or end dates associated with a project are subject to change based on a variety of factors which may include 3-1-1 service request volume, inclement weather, utility conflicts or crew availability.

For more information about ongoing projects listed in the report, please visit the Department of Public Works Data and Maps page. To learn more about the Department of Public Works, visit their home page here.
