City Sanitation crews working to collect storm debris

The City of Dallas is advising residents who have debris on their property from tree damage or minor exterior damage (a small amount of fence panels, etc.) from the recent storms to place this debris out for regular bulk/brush collection services.

“If possible we ask that residents not place this debris out until their scheduled collection week,” said Sanitation Director Kelly High. “If storm debris must be placed at the curb prior to their collection week, residents need to be sure to call 311 and make a “Storm Brush Debris” service request.” Storm debris will be collected as resources allow and code citations will be suspended for storm debris only.

Residents who have flood damage and have construction or remodeling/renovation debris, should not place this material out for bulk and brush collection. Residents can take this debris to the landfill or transfer stations; have a private hauler/remodeler remove the materials; or contact 311 and request Sanitation’s Cost Plus service (fee required).
