City Council set to vote Dec. 9 on Dallas Executive Master Plan

The Dallas City Council is scheduled to vote on adoption of the Dallas Executive Airport Master Plan on Dec. 9. After two town hall meetings and 12 meetings with the Public Advisory Committee, the final version of the master plan for the airport was completed.

The plan calls for extension of runway 13/31 to allow for safer landings and takeoffs. The Public Advisory Committee recommended that the runway remains in the DII category and that noise buffers be established in the north part of the airport. Noise monitors are scheduled to be installed by the end of the year.

After Council approval, the next step is review and approval of the airport layout plan by the FAA and the aviation division of the Texas Department of Transportation.
