EmployAbility annual job fair to be held Monday in downtown Dallas

The EmployAbility! Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the Sheraton Downtown Dallas Hotel. A resource for North Texans with disabilities, the annual event provides job seekers and employers an opportunity to network with hiring representatives from more than 50 nationally recognized companies.

Educational opportunities including information on interviewing, resumes, applications and general job search tips will be available for individuals pursuing a career. Additionally, Attitudes and Attire will host a class on wearing the right clothes for the right job.

Event sponsors Alliance Data, AT&T, Lockheed Martin and PepsiCo recognize the benefits of diversity in the workplace and hiring people with disabilities, and hope to share this understanding with potential employees and leading North Texas employers, including Bank of America, Southwest Airlines, Walgreens, Starwood Hotels, UT Southwestern Medical Center and many more.

“Last year was our best expo to date, so we have high expectations that this will be even more successful, drawing in a record-breaking amount of candidates from the DFW area,” said EmployAbility Chairperson Beth West. “Not only do we have some of the country’s best companies represented at the event, but we expect to have more than 500 local job seekers.”
