- Dallas Police Department’s Chief David Brown is retiring after being the longest serving police chief in the City of Dallas since 1960. He also spent 33 years as a Dallas police officer.
- DART’s streetcar’s new southern extension is now running to the Bishop Arts District extending the line to a total of 2.45 miles, connecting downtown Dallas and Union Station to Davis Street.
- Parkmobile is now the new mobile payments provider for the City of Dallas. Parkers who want to use their mobile device to pay for parking at any of the approximately 4,500 on street spaces in Dallas will need to register with the new provider at www.parkmobile.com or download their mobile app.
