Operation Beautification registration now underway

The City is encouraging Dallas neighborhood groups to join in a citywide fall cleanup effort on Saturday Nov. 14. The City will coordinate with participating groups to provide out-of-schedule trash collection for neighborhoods that choose to join in this special event.

The goal of the program is for community residents to clean their neighborhoods and shared areas (streets and sidewalks, neighborhood entrances/gateways). Neighborhood associations and interested groups can organize a project such as litter pickup or graffiti removal that is meaningful and achievable for them.

Last year 32 groups registered but because of inclement weather only 19 participated. More than 8 tons of trash was collected.
