Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance to host Kick-Back Party for homeless teens Nov. 12

The Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance Youth Taskforce is hosting a Kick-Back Party to gather data on youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who are experiencing homelessness within the City of Dallas in an effort to better serve their needs. The Kickback Party will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 12 at Exall Recreation Center, 1355 Adair St.

The free event will feature a DJ, games, recreation, social opportunities and food. Vendors from organizations throughout Dallas will also provide them with information about various opportunities to better their situation. Additionally, flu shots will be provided by the Parkland Homes van.

The Taskforce is also seeking donations of gift cards, food, nonperishable snacks, hygiene kits and winter apparel, such as hats and gloves. Contact Sarah Carroll at [email protected] or at (214) 670-3078 to donate or volunteer to help at the event.
