Love Field’s Love Helper Program offers benefits for volunteers

If you’re looking for a way to enhance your customer service skills while working with an interesting and diverse group of people, consider becoming a Love Field Helper. Love Helpers are volunteers who provide information to travelers on directions, security issues and transportation.

Love Helpers must be at least 16 years old, pass a TSA background check, adhere to Aviation dress code and volunteer at least four hours a week. They must attend three onsite training sessions to learn about departmental policies, procedural changes, airport improvements, airport operations and tours. Helpers are partnered with a Customer Service Representative for on the job training. A manual with location information, emergency procedures, contact numbers, airline information and airport services is also provided.

Love Helpers are part of the Customer Service division and also work closely with first responders, tenants and Department of Aviation employees. All Love Helpers are included in department events and activities. Love Helpers are eligible for free parking while working or travelling.

To learn how to become a Love Helper, contact the Dallas Love Field Volunteer and Community Outreach Office at (469) 540-6817 or email [email protected]. More information on the Love Helpers volunteer program can also be found here.
