Library and City of Learning present Turn Up! Discovery Faire Saturday June 20

Kids are invited to “Turn Up!” to make, create, craft, play and learn at the Dallas Public Library on Saturday June 20. The Dallas City of Learning free family event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on various floors at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1515 Young St.

Here are a few of the activities for ages 2 and up:

  • Use Post-it® notes to create art with the Dallas Public Library
  • Turn everyday objects into touchpads with Best Buy’s Geek Squad Academy
  • Build a bird feeder to hang up in your backyard with the Dallas Zoo
  • Observe the effect that moving air has on objects with the Frontiers of Flight Museum
  • Make toys for your cats and dogs with the SPCA of Texas
  • Discover how 3D printers work and see them in action with PolyPrinter
  • Explore what’s inside a portable pond with Science Safari

Additional activities will be offered by Fine Arts Nth, Texas Discovery Gardens, The Catalyst Arts Movement, International Museum of Cultures, Inspiration Inc. and Arts in the Community. Admission and parking are free.  Learn more at www.DallasCityOfLearning.org.
