Grand Opening of Shared Community Office for Districts 2 and 6
The City of Dallas’ newest Community District Office held its opening Friday at Bachman Recreation Center. The center will be home to the Community Offices of District 2 and 6. Friday’s grand opening with Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam Medrano (District 2) and Councilmember Omar Narvaez (District 6) highlighted the need for Community Offices with nontraditional hours to better serve members of the community. Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, City Manager T.C. Broadnax and Chief of Staff Kimberly Tolbert attended the event along with Dallas County Treasurer Pauline Medrano and other special guests.
The opening of the center featured performances by the Francisco “Pancho” Medrano Middle School band and dancers from the Alma y Corazon Tejano Ballet Folklorico.
