Dallas Animal Services daily data reports now available on Facebook
Dallas Animal Services (DAS) is now posting a daily data report, #TransparentDAS, which will illustrate the shelter’s limited capacity and show the number of intakes and the outcomes of the shelter from the previous day.
Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said DAS will continue to release data in the coming months, to promote transparency and increase trust. “We hope that citizens will recognize the dedicated work being done every day by DAS employees, our transfer partners and rescue groups to find homes for the many animals coming into our shelter,” Sherwin said.
The new, daily reports will show the number of intakes and the outcomes of the shelter from the previous day. Additionally, the current capacity section will illustrate the shelters’ limited capacity for dogs and cats.
