City to hold citywide cleanup event

The City of Dallas Planning and Neighborhood Vitality department invites the community to participate in the citywide cleanup effort Operation: Beautification on Saturday, May 20.

Community groups, faith based groups, businesses, schools and civic groups are encouraged to register to help reach the City’s goal of making neighborhoods more viable, vibrant and sustainable.

Each group will select one street or an entire neighborhood to clean. The cleanup will consist of basic litter and brush pickup on streets and sidewalks. In 2016, over 28 tons of litter were picked up during Operation: Beautification.
