City departments host young professionals from Southeast Asia

The City of Dallas recently hosted two young professionals from Southeast Asia as part of the Department of State’s Professional Fellows Program.

For four weeks, Osveanne Osman from Brunei and Siti Nur Alliah from Indonesia worked with Intergovernmental Services and the Office of Environmental Quality staff, learning about American culture and working on projects they will implement in their home countries.

A total of 211 leaders from more than 45 countries and territories are participating in the program, working with government offices, media outlets, non-profit organizations and businesses to find solutions to common challenges.
